Australia delivered a stinging blow to a struggling West Indies team, demolishing them with an eight-wicket victory in a whirlwind 3rd and final one-day international (ODI) match in Canberra. With the series already secured after their triumph in the first two matches, Australia opted to field first upon winning the toss. The decision paid off handsomely as the Australian attack dismantled the West Indies, restricting them to a meagre 86 runs before the 25th over.

Australia made quick work of a feeble West Indies team, securing an eight-wicket victory in just 6.5 overs in the third and final one-day international (ODI) in Canberra.

Having already clinched the series with victories in the first two matches, Australia elected to bowl first after winning the toss. The decision proved fruitful as they skittled the West Indies for a paltry 86 runs in the 25th over. The Australian attack, despite missing key bowlers Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Starc, proved too much for their opponents.

In a swift response, Australia effortlessly chased down the target with a whopping 259 balls remaining, sealing a dominant series win. Young opener Jake Fraser-McGurk showcased his explosive talent by smashing 41 runs off just 18 balls, including five fours and three sixes, before falling to Alzarri Joseph. Aaron Hardie was the only other wicket to fall, dismissed for two runs off Oshane Thomas.

Josh Inglis remained unbeaten on 35, while skipper Steve Smith finished not out on six, steering their team to a comprehensive victory.

Paceman Xavier Bartlett starred once again, taking 4-21 to add to his impressive debut performance in Melbourne where he claimed figures of 4-17. Fellow fast bowler Lance Morris also made an impact with 2-13 before leaving the field due to a side strain.

Bartlett struck early, dismissing Kjorn Ottley for eight with a lbw wicket. Despite a brief partnership between Emmanuel Stewart and Keacy Carty, the West Indies struggled to score at a decent pace. Marnus Labuschagne's stunning diving catch at point off Morris removed Carty for 10, breaking their partnership.

Captain Shai Hope, in desperate need of a substantial contribution, looked promising but fell victim to Shaun Abbott after facing just five balls, getting trapped lbw. Debutant Teddy Bishop failed to score, falling to the pace of Morris who rattled the stumps.

Kevlon Athanaze offered some resistance with a battling 32 off 60 balls before falling prey to Adam Zampa's spin, caught by Abbott. The West Indies' collapse continued as they lost two wickets in three balls, with Romario Shepherd departing for a golden duck and Matthew Forde being run out due to a comedy of errors with Roston Chase.

Bartlett completed the rout by claiming two more wickets to wrap up the West Indies' innings.
