Tributes abound to honor the memory of this active young man in the Parisian cycling community. Starting with the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, who has made cycling a key focus of her policies during her two successive terms.
"It is unacceptable to die today in Paris, at 27, while cycling. These acts must be severely condemned. I express my sincere condolences and offer my support, along with that of Paris, to his family and loved ones," declared the PS mayor in an Instagram story.
In the cycling community on social media, several people who also knew Paul have expressed their sadness, but also their anger at this death caused "intentionally by a driver," as Anne Hidalgo stated.
