49ers receiver Samuel set to play NFC title game against Lions
Deebo Samuel, the star wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, is expected to make his return from injury in Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Detroit Lions, with a spot in the Super Bowl at stake.

After practicing for the second consecutive day on Friday, Samuel was removed from the team's injury report, indicating his availability for the crucial playoff matchup.

Samuel suffered a shoulder injury during last Saturday's divisional-round victory over the Green Bay Packers, forcing him out of the game. The absence of Samuel was keenly felt in the San Francisco offense during the remainder of the contest.

Speaking about the potential return of Samuel, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan expressed relief, stating, "It's huge ... the fact that he was able to go full go today, no restrictions on him is definitely a good thing for us."

Considered by 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy as "probably the best playmaker in this league," Samuel's presence on the field has been instrumental for San Francisco throughout the season. In the two games Samuels missed earlier in the year due to shoulder issues, the 49ers suffered defeats.

Samuel himself confirmed on Friday that he is ready to play at full speed and won't be concerned about protecting his injury, stating defiantly, "I ain't protecting nothing."

Both Samuel and Shanahan acknowledged concerns that he had suffered a similar injury to the hairline fracture that plagued him earlier in the season. However, the results of tests conducted this week revealed that playing on Sunday is indeed possible for Samuel.

With the return of Deebo Samuel, the San Francisco 49ers are hoping to bolster their offense and secure a crucial victory over the Detroit Lions, advancing them to the Super Bowl.
