The High Earners of IPL 2024 Auction: Shubham Dubey, Sameer Rizvi, Kumar Kushagra, and Sushant Mishra Shubham Dubey

Rajasthan Royals secured Shubham Dubey's services for a whopping INR 5.8 Crore, beating off competition from Delhi Capitals. Known for his explosive batting skills, the 29-year-old left-handed batsman from Vidarbha made a significant impact with a quickfire 58 against Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, aiding his team to a memorable record run-chase victory. With 20 T20 appearances since his debut in 2021, Dubey has scored 485 runs at a commendable strike rate of 145.20. In the recent season of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, he smashed 225 runs with an exceptional strike rate of 187.28.

Sameer Rizvi

Former Indian cricketers had their eyes on Sameer Rizvi, and their predictions held true as he sparked a bidding war before being bagged by Chennai Super Kings for INR 8.4 Crore in the IPL auction. The 20-year-old batter received interest from Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals, indicating his talent and promise on the field. Rizvi, playing only 11 T20s thus far, impressed in this year's UP T20 league, finishing as the tournament's highest run-scorer and even smashing the fastest century in the competition.

Kumar Kushagra

Delhi Capitals acquired the services of 20-year-old wicketkeeping-batsman Kumar Kushagra for a significant amount of INR 7.20 Crore. Hailing from Jharkhand, Kushagra has made noteworthy contributions in various formats during his early domestic career. However, inconsistency has been a drawback. Although he had a relatively less productive season in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy this year, his talent did not go unnoticed as franchises engaged in a bidding war for him, emphasizing his potential.

Sushant Mishra

Despite a young career marred by injuries, Sushant Mishra showcased potential that caught the attention of Gujarat Titans. The 22-year-old pacer from Jharkhand has managed to feature in only 4 T20 matches, with one notable performance of 4 for 28 against Vidarbha. Mishra's opportunities in senior cricket have been limited due to his injury struggles. Nevertheless, Gujarat Titans invested INR 2.2 Crore in him, successfully fending off competition from Mumbai Indians, acknowledging Mishra's promising talent.
